BAE commissioned an independent review to assess the "fit for purpose" nature of the existing active fire suppression system protecting the highest insured building in their estate.

Brief

The review identified that the existing remote pump house and foam tanks would not be able to deliver rapid discharge to the required zones to mitigate loss.

Solution

Alpine were commissioned to re-fit a new foam discharge system incorporating 13 strategically positioned 1% AFFF vertical foam bladder tanks and deluge valves. The system needed to be capable of discharging 900 litres/minute of foam to the required zone. The new foam system is linked to an augmented three phase alarm system to enhance detection and prevent unnecessary discharge contents damage.
