Alpine takes part in The Great British Spring Clean

Alpine Spring Clean 2025

At Alpine Fire we recognise the importance of supporting the local community and ensuring our whole team lives and breathes our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-focused approach.

That’s why, at the start of this month, we joined forces with Keep Britain Tidy to participate in The Great British Spring Clean.

As the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign, The Great British Spring Clean is an initiative designed to encourage people and organisations to clean up the spaces and places they love, with 2025 marking the tenth time it has taken place.

On Thursday 3rd April over 30 Alpine employees split into five groups and helped tidy a number of areas around Alpine House – we even had one of our remote employees getting involved by taking part in their local area too!

In total the Alpine team helped collect 90 bags of rubbish, tidying and straightening up a range of locations the local community enjoys visiting.

Our work on the day was supported by Kathy Taylor at Bury Council and Jane Edyvean from KeepBuryClean, who provided Alpine with the necessary equipment and organised proper rubbish disposal.

We’re pleased to say the efforts of our employees were emulated across the country, with the initiative as a whole collecting over 462,000 bags of litter as people from all corners of the UK did their bit to help clean up their communities.

Speaking about Alpine’s involvement in The Great British Spring Clean, our Group Managing Director, Claire Owens said: “We’re proud to have been involved in this great initiative and our employees enjoyed helping make a difference to the local area. It was brilliant to see so many of our team getting involved and demonstrating Alpine’s community-oriented values.

“We’re passionate about protecting both people and the planet, and we all must do our bit – however small – to ensure the generations that follow us can enjoy nature and their local greenspaces in the same way we can today.”

Whether it’s litter-picking, fundraising, or sponsoring local sports teams, we undertake a range of initiatives to support community-focused endeavours.
