Alpine had previously completed two distributions centres for L’Oréal on time and to budget and were therefore the provider of choice for a further project.

Brief

Cosmetics often contain highly flammable and volatile chemicals and when bulk stored provide a severe challenge to conventional fire protection methods.

Solution

Alpine designed a foam deluge system capable of discharging 1000m3 of foam within the working warehouse. Once installed a full system test – the first of its kind – was requested. This included a full discharge in simultaneous operation of the roof level ESFR and associated in-rack system.
